On March 7, 2023, in the presence of the College of Education coordinator of the Career Development Center unit at the University of Zakho Mr. Viyan Salim Haji, and a number of students and faculty members, the US Pop-Up Corner program was presented by AMIDEAST organization. 

The seminar aimed to inform students, university staff, and graduates of the eligibility conditions for the 2024 Fulbright Foreign Student Program in the United States. It is worth mentioning that the seminar was presented by Mr. Handren Balaky, a program employee of the AMIDEAST organization.

All the requirements and application processes for the scholarship were explained during the seminar, some of them are listed below: 

• Applicants must be Iraqi citizens at the time of application for the Fulbright Program.
• US citizens and card holders are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must have two years of work experience after obtaining their certificate.
• Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Must have a strong academic background.
• Must have English language skills or be willing to participate in an English language course before starting the academic course.
• Preference is given to applicants with limited educational and life experience in the United States.
• We support people with different backgrounds and special needs to do this program.
